Application
HMK® R765 is a special ready to use product that increases slip resistance on almost all types of granite, quartzite and glazed tiles. R765 creates microscopic pores in the surface that work on wet surfaces to restrict slipping and sliding. Before beginning application test the product on a sample tile or in an inconspicuous place to evaluate the effectiveness and suitability.
Note: Improper application such as allowing foam to develop and uneven application will require mechanical refinishing. The gloss and color of the surface will be altered with this treatment. Do not apply in direct sunlight. Acid sensitive surfaces, metals, plastics, glass etc will be damaged by contact with R765.
Instructions
Protect adjacent surfaces and ensure the working area is well ventilated. If under-floor heating exists switch it off and allow the surface to cool. Clean the surface to be treated thoroughly using HMK® R155 Intensive Cleaner or stripped with HMK® R154 Stripper/Stain Remover (see product specifications for details). Once the surface has dried to the touch apply R765 undiluted evenly and generously with a sponge or a wash mop. Do not allow foam to develop or R765 to dry until the procedure is completed (approx. 20-30 minutes). After the process is completed wash the surface thoroughly using R155 Intensive Cleaner -acid free- diluted 1:20 with clean water. Rinse the treated surface thoroughly with clear water at the end of the process. Repeat the treatment process if slip resistance needs to be further enhanced.
Warning
Highly toxic and corrosive. Poisonous. Contains ammonium hydrogen difluoride. Avoid eye/skin contact. Wear suitable protective clothing. If exposed, wash/flush with water and seek medical attention. Keep out of the reach of children.
Testing
Always test the product in an inconspicuous area to evaluate suitability, coverage and performance. Do not use the product in temperatures below 12 and above 25°C. Store in a cool place.
