Application
HMK S240 is a concentrated solvent -free pre- grout treatment. HMK S240 forms a protective film on the surface that reduces the penetration of adhesive, cement and grout into all finishes but is especially good for sawn, sandblasted, flamed, natural and artificial stones. HMK S240 facilitates the subsequent cleaning and general maintenance of the surface. For interior and exterior use.
Instructions
If under floor heating exists, switch it off and allow the surface to cool and dry. Ensure the surface is clean. Depending on the type of stone, dilute HMK S240 with water at a ratio of 1:3 to 1:5 (the higher the absorbency of the stone, the lower the dilution ratio). Before the grout is applied, paint HMK S240 using a roller with short fibres evenly and thinly across the surface. Allow to dry for about 12 hours before grouting. After grouting, sponge off grout residue with water as well as possible. Once installation is completed, HMK S240 and the remaining dirt should be removed with HMK R155 Intensive Cleaner-acid free.
If HMK S240 remains on the surface for more than 48 hours it will become difficult to remove, use HMK R154 Stripper - Stain Remover for removal. Repeat the cleaning procedure if necessary. Do not use acid based cleaners since they will harden the HMK S240. Do not walk on the treated surface for 12 hours after treatment is applied and dried. Small traces of HMK S240 that run into the joint during the application process, do not affect the effectiveness of the grout. Fired stone products such as terracotta, brick, clay and ceramics cannot be treated with HMK S240. For these products we recommend HMK S245 Joint Protector -water based.

Testing
Always test the product in an inconspicuous area to evaluate suitability, coverage and performance. Do not use the product in temperatures below 12° and above 25°C. Store in cool place and keep lid tightly closed.
